Public Private Partnership for Building Energy Efficiency
The report finds that, the funding gap in building energy saving will expand to 1.53 trillion RMB in the next five years, but the current government-led investment model is proved to be unaffordable and unsustainable. It is an imperative to attract private capital to the field, which will not only broaden funding channels, but also stimulate innovation and application of energy-efficient technologies and advanced management methods.
This report was supported by Energy Foundation and released by the China Energy Conservation Association in 2017.

Comprehensive Utilization of Solar Energy in Public Buildings
Researchers select three representative Chinese cities—Xining, Yinchuan, and Xichang—in the western region of abundant solar resources to investigate energy performance of public buildings. Combined with local building characteristics and meteorological data, the analysis establishes an evaluation model for comprehensive utilization of solar energy in typical public buildings. Based on the model, the report identifies the optimal combination of solar energy utilization in a typical public building in a solar-rich region.
This research was supported by Energy Foundation China and conducted by the China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute and the China Architecture Design Group.
