International Experience with Policies to Promote Wind Power Industry Development
This report by the Center for Resource Solutions describes general strategies for localization of wind manufacturing and the possible advantages and challenges to such localization, identifies direct and indirect policies to encourage local wind manufacturing, and highlights 12 country case studies of how other countries have successfully, or unsuccessfully, encouraged local wind manufacturing. The report concludes with a summary of the main findings and broad recommendations for China. (March 2005)
