Assessing China’s Low Carbon Innovation Needs
With support from Energy Foundation China, Carbon Trust and the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA) released this assessment report in May 2021.
Based on the United Kingdom’s experience of innovation prioritization, it proposes a methodology framework for assessing China’s low carbon technology innovation needs, and then testes it for the energy storage sector.
The report provides a framework that has the potential to help Chinese decision-makers adopt more effective low carbon innovation strategies, which can support and accelerate the achievement of China’s climate neutrality targets.
