Development Mechanisms of Climate Investment and Finance in Cities

In January 2021, the CECEP Environmental Consulting Group completed this climate investment and finance research project funded by Energy Foundation China. After analyzing the current practice of climate financing in three cities in China and six in Europe, North America, and Africa, the report summaries the current status and future needs in this crucial area, identifies main challenges facing climate investment, and proposes mechanisms and policy recommendations. This report provides important technical support for China to achieve its newly updated nationally determined contributions and decarbonization goals.
