In June 2023, with the support of Energy Foundation China, Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Urban Planning and Design Institute released this report summarizing the progress of low carbon technologies around the world.

When reviewing the technologies, the study builds a technology application assessment tool for carbon neutrality, analyses the development history of key technologies and their future trend, presents typical cases, and compiles expert opinions of green and low carbon technologies in major fields such as energy, buildings, and transportation. In addition, the study builds four scenarios of daily life, work, transportation, and recreation, showing a people-oriented blueprint where low carbon technologies are adopted. Authors of the report hope it provides a technical analysis that is helpful for provinces and cities as they promote carbon peaking and neutrality actions.
