With support from Energy Foundation China, the China Academy of Building Research completed this research in 2020 on how to promote nearly-zero energy buildings in a large scale.
Presenting Gaobeidian, Hebei Province as a typical case, the report analyzes policy changes, technology assessment options, and estimated volume for China’s fledging nearly-zero energy buildings industry.
The research then provides a policy package for and guidance on the scaling-up of the industry in other cities across China. It concludes with a market-based solution for decarbonized development in China’s building sector.
