In March 2022, China National Institute of Standardization released this research report analyzing how to address the key Issues if China plans to set up and enforce vehicle emissions recalls. The research was conducted with the support of Energy Foundation China.
The report summarizes emissions recall systems, regulations, and typical cases in China and other countries, identifies possible sources of emission risks in China, and simulates a typical case investigation. The report also suggests establishing a working mechanism of efficient collaboration and sharing among government regulators.
