Energy Consumption Limits for Electric Vehicles

In 2018, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center released this report with support from Energy Foundation China. The research team studied how to set a viable energy consumption standard for electric vehicles in China, which would be the world’s first such technical standard.
This report introduces the research and calculation process of the main technical index, including the evaluation system, conversion factor, application scenarios, and limits indicators. Based on the existing data, the report predicts the total energy conservation and carbon emission reductions after the standard is adopted, and also provides guidelines for its future updates.
