In May 2021, with Energy Foundation China’s support, China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association released this research report about cases of cooling energy-saving retrofit and viable technology choices.

The report summarizes the cooling industry’s current green and high-efficiency refrigeration technology and future innovations, analyzes the commonalities of various retrofit projects, studies technology choices and energy-saving potentials of key projects, and discusses their business models.

Researchers hope the report will facilitate energy-saving retrofit in the refrigeration field, and with its list of retrofit projects, help implement China’s National Green Cooling Action Plan. These efforts will in turn cut China’s energy consumption and carbon emissions.
