Roadmap for Cooling Efficiency Improvement in Wuhan
In July 2020, Wuhan Energy Conservation and Supervision Center, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc. jointly released this report supported by Energy Foundation China. It surveys the current cooling status of the city of 11 million people, analyses existing problems, calculates energy-saving potentials in various cooling fields, and formulates a viable pathway of and supporting policy recommendations for improving cooling efficiency in the city known for its hot summers.
The first systematic roadmap research on this topic, this report provides a scientific basis for Wuhan to advance a green and efficient cooling industry, curb its energy consumption, and peak its total carbon emissions early.
