Energy Efficiency Improvement in Textile in BRI Countries
Taking China as an example, this report analyses energy saving potential of the industry’s manufacturing processes, including four key components: synthetic and semisynthetic fiber production, yarn spinning, printing and dyeing, and apparel production. Based on the analysis, the report suggests setting regional energy efficiency standards, promoting energy saving technologies, implementing energy and water efficiency classification for textile machinery, and organizing energy conservation training—all the efforts the authors believe will help increase the overall energy efficiency of the textile and garment industry along the “Belt and Road.”
