International Experiences on Airport Emissions Control and Sustainable Development
International Experiences on Airport Emissions Control and Sustainable Development
With Energy Foundation China’s support, Ramboll (Shanghai) Company studied international experiences on how to control airport emissions of criteria and climate pollutants and what can help advance airports’ sustainable development. The findings were published in this report of August 2021.
The report first summarizes methodologies and tools used for emission inventory development and air quality impact evaluation for airport and aviation sources, before it analyzes cases of emission reduction from top international airports, along with their sustainable development plans.
Researchers hope the report can help policymakers and stakeholders such as airline companies, airport, and research institutions in developing emission inventories, designing and implementing pollution reduction measures, and forming sustainable development plans.
