Evaluating Social Health Costs of Air Pollution
Evaluating Social Health Costs of Air Pollution
Supported by Energy Foundation China, Peking University and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention assessed health effects of air pollution and corresponding medical and mortality costs, to lend support to decisions relevant to air pollution control and public health improvement strategies. In September 2020, the National School of Development at Peking University released this report with their findings. Researchers hope this study can contribute to the upgrade of China’s air quality standards, and provide a reliable basis for future cost-benefit analysis of air pollution abatement policies.
