China’s Synergetic Pathways to Air Quality Improvement (2019): New Opportunities With the Blue Sky Action Plan
China’s Synergetic Pathways to Air Quality Improvement (2019): New Opportunities With the Blue Sky Action Plan
In late 2019, the China Clean Air Policy Partnership (CCAPP) and Tsinghua University released this report, with support from Energy Foundation China.
Focusing on the first 12 months of China’s renewed three-year Blue Sky Action Plan, this report compiles data showing the country’s air quality in 2018 and analyzes the effects of major air policies and measures. It also discusses the co-control strategy for air quality improvement and carbon emissions mitigation.
This is the first report evaluating policy outcomes of the Blue Sky Action Plan. Researchers hope its findings can be useful for policymakers and stakeholders such as NGOs and research institutions when they design and promote the co-control strategy of air quality improvement.
