Seminar Discussed Coordinated Governance of Non-CO2, CO2, and Criteria Pollutants

On November 24, 2021, the Environmental Management Program of Energy Foundation China and the Department of Environmental Management of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Peking University organized a non-CO2 seminar, following the first of the environment and climate seminar series a couple of weeks earlier discussing water issues against the backdrop of China’s carbon goals. The series has been designed to falicitate their research for the collaborative governance of environmental and climate issues in China. Liu Xin, Director of the Environmental Management Program, hosted the seminar, which was attended by 12 experts including Academician Tao Shu of Peking University, Researcher Teng Fei of Tsinghua University, Professor Zhang Bo of China University of Mining and Technology, and Researcher Jiang Kejun of the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, Researcher Gao Qingxian of the Chinese Academy for Environmental Sciences, and professor-level Senior Engineer Liu Wenge of the Institute of Emergency Management Information. They discused on how to reduce emissions of short-lived greenhouse gases such as methane and black carbon, as well as other issues related to the coordinated management of CO2 and super greenhouse gases.
