Witnessed by Wang Zhiping, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor of Bayannur, Zou Ji, CEO and President of EF China, and Feng Aixia, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Bayannur, signed the MOU for 2021–2024.

Through analysis and pilot projects in the next three years on a new growth engine powered by renewable energy, the cooperation between the two parties aims to help build Bayannur into a renewable-dominated energy production and consumption center that integrates energy production, electric grid, power load, and storage, and achieve high penetration of renewables in its local energy consumption. In addition, the cooperation will strive to establish here a large-scale national renewable energy center in western Inner Mongolia and advance the construction of green power transmission lines to other cities and provinces.

With its endowment of wind and solar resources and location advantages, Bayannur is an ideal candidate to build a renewable-dominated energy production and consumption center for northern China. EF China hopes to help Bayannur accelerate the achievement of its energy targets and carbon goals, and promote China’s transition to a green and low carbon future.
