In November 2019, Energy Foundation China hosted a roundtable to discuss the strategies and pathways for achieving deep decarbonization of the Chinese industry sector, as one of the events celebrating the foundation’s 20th anniversary. Experts from international and domestic organizations, think tanks, and research institutes joined the forum, including Director General Ren Shuben from China’s National Development and Reform Commission, Deputy Director General You Long from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Deputy Director General Song Chunyang from the National Government Offices Administration, Environment Program Director Jonathan Pershing from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and CEO and President Zou Ji from Energy Foundation China.
