We are pleased to report that the Asia Society honored the Energy Foundation with a Leadership Award at their annual dinner on May 4th, 2016. The theme is “Innovation Beyond Borders: Bridging the U.S. and Asia,” and the selection recognizes our 16 years of work to move innovative ideas between the two countries. Eric Heitz, CEO and co-founder was proud to accept the award on behalf of the China staff and Chinese network of grantees.

Others being recognized for their work to “revolutionize the way people live, consume, socially interact, and civically engage” are Leila Janah, CEO, Sama and Laxmi; Kaiser Kuo, Director, International Communications, Baidu; and Sir Michael Moritz, Chairman, Sequoia Capital. Over 400 leaders in business, tech, civic affairs, academia, philanthropy, the diplomatic corps, and media joined the May event in San Francisco.
