Program Officer, Environmental Management
Ms. Meng Amanda Ai is a Program Officer of Energy Foundation China’s Environmental Management Program. She supports the Program Director on strategy development, fundraising, and grants management. Prior to joining the foundation in October 2023, she was a Project Manager at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), managing coal cap and low carbon projects in China’s top coal-consuming provinces such as Shandong and Henan, as well as promoting scattered coal reduction. Before NRDC, she worked for Ramboll, an international environmental and engineering consulting company, as a lead consultant in the environmental and health sector. She stayed at the company’s California and Beijing offices, where she provided consulting services regarding air emissions inventories, air quality analysis, regulatory analysis, and sustainable development.
Amanda obtained a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Peking University.
