Grants Manager

In her role as Grants Manager for Energy Foundation China, Ms. Jane Ji serves as an essential liaison between the Beijing office and the U.S. grants team. She works in day-to-day grants administration, performs due diligence checks to ensure compliance with U.S. and Chinese laws and regulations, and works closely with program staff. Assisting the foundation’s Director of Grants Management, Jane helps shape an evolving grants function with optimized processes and policies, and develop materials and facilitate training. Jane also plays an important role in ensuring the integrity of the Grants Database System.

Jane has spent ten years in grantmaking in State governments and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining the foundation in January 2022, Jane was a Project Manager for Empire State Development, a New York State government agency, where she managed funding processes and conducted financial analyses. Jane also worked as a Grants Manager with the Nebraska Arts Council, reviewing grants applications, tracking grants requirements, and managing data and grants budget.

Jane holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Shanghai Normal University and another Master’s in Management from Syracuse University.
