Program Associate, Industry

Ms. Fangwei Zhao joined Energy Foundation China in August 2024 as a Program Associate of the Industry Program, supporting project management, strategy development, and event organization. Prior to joining Energy Foundation China, she worked at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for two years, where she was mainly engaged in climate-related strategic planning and research, and was deeply involved in the development of the Climate Action Plan (CAP). She also conducted project assessment for Paris Agreement alignment and climate finance. Ms. Zhao has also worked in the Global Communications Department of the United Nations, where she focused on communication planning for climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ms. Zhao holds a Master’s degree in Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media from the University of Michigan.
