Program Officer, Environmental Management

Mr. Boyang Mao is a Program Officer of the Environmental Management Program, Energy Foundation China. He supports the Program Director on strategy development, fundraising, and grants management. Prior to joining Energy Foundation China in December 2023, he worked for the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in China, Beijing’s Municipal Ecology and Environmental Bureau, etc., where he was responsible for international cooperation project management and policy study in environmental protection and climate change response.

Mr. Mao holds a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
