In 2019, Energy Foundation China supported Peking University’s College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering to review HFCs mitigation policies in China and other parts of the world.

Supported by Energy Foundation China, Kunshan Duke University published the report in April 2019. Against the backdrop of the medium- and long-term strategy planning of China’s climate governance, the report analyzes the necessity of designing the country’s carbon pricing system from the top level, the priorities of such a system, and its economic impacts.

During 2018–2019, Energy Foundation China supported Planet-Data Inc. to investigate temporal and spatial distribution of PM2.5 in Jinan, the capital city of eastern Chinese province Shandong that has suffered smog episodes.

In 2018, Energy Foundation China supported Jin Yuefu, the former deputy chief engineer of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, to summarize energy and emission statistics and review regulation for China’s transport sector. Many experts provided comments and made academic contributions to the study.

The Vehicle Emission Control Center, a think tank affiliated to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, issued this report in 2018 with support from Energy Foundation China.

In 2018, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center released this report with support from Energy Foundation China. The research team studied how to set a viable energy consumption standard for electric vehicles in China, which would be the world’s first such technical standard.

With support from Energy Foundation China, Shanghai Maritime University released this research report in 2019. The report comprehensively analyzes the current status and challenges of ship emissions in China, and identifies key measures for emission reduction.

In 2018 and 2019, Energy Foundation China supported the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to conduct a comprehensive market analysis to characterize the current Chinese domestic market as well as export market for multi-split air conditioners. The findings were released in this report.

In March 2019, the China International Engineering Consulting Company released this report with support from Energy Foundation China.

In January 2019, the Shenzhen Institute of Peking University completed a study on coal-free zones in cities, which was supported by Energy Foundation China.
