Scattered Coal Pollution Control Strategy During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period

In December 2021, the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning released this report examining how China should curb residential scattered coal use in the next five years. Support for the research came from Energy Foundation China.
After summarizing experiences and challenges of scattered coal control during 2016 to 2020, the report proposes goals, technical pathways, policies, and strategies for scattered coal work during the 14th Five-Year Plan period of 2021 to 2025. Authors hope the report will be helpful for making evidence-based plans for this hard-to-abate sector.
