Strategies for Coordinated Control of Air Pollution and GHGs During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period
In December 2021, with Energy Foundation China’s support, the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning released this report analyzing China’s air quality strategies for the next five years that are aligned with its climate ambitions.
The report proposes national goals and indicators for air quality improvement for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021¬–2025), based on analysis on the achievements and challenges of current air policies. It also uses scenario analysis to compare different air pollutant and GHG mitigation efforts for the next five years, and proposes policy recommendations for their coordinated control.
